We are heartbroken and deeply saddened to announce the passing of our HOTMG family member, friend and amazing artist, Brit Kerr.


Brit was awarded his angel wings on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, and no doubt he's been playing for his Mom since he got there.


Brit was an old soul and that showed through immensely in the songs he wrote.  Brit never cared much about getting on the charts, he just wanted his music to play on the radio.  


We were nearing the end of the promotion run of Brit's current single "Really Can't Complain" which will now be the last sadly.

Brit Kerr, a native Wacoan, started performing at the age of 16 while at Bosqueville HS. At 18, he moved to Lubbock, TX and developed his crowd among the students at Texas Tech. He gained fans everywhere he performed with a solid and consistent following. Brit's music was more on the traditional side of country and he continued to play around the state and open for many of the top country acts. 

Brit will be greatly missed by all of us here at Heart Of Texas Music Group, but never forgotten.

Please pray for Brit's Dad and his many family, friends and fans and please keep his memory alive by spinning his tunes.  We know that he will be smiling down when they're heard.
